Hey there! I’m Kristiyan Ivanov, Director of Engineering at DevriX.

With 13 years in software development, I’ve worn many hats – from individual contributor to team leader and engineering manager, all the way to startup co-founder and CTO. Despite working across different positions and industries, I’m still constantly building and tinkering with new technologies, frameworks, and stacks in my free time – there’s always something new to play around with.

But perhaps the most enjoyable project I ever built was a Guitar Hero clone in Pascal using the motherboard’s built-in speaker for feedback – no frameworks, no heavy build processes, no deploys, just the simple joy of hacking something together!

I’m passionate about learning new things and helping people grow. I approach everything with a beginner’s mind, always open to feedback and new perspectives. As a big fan of Stoic philosophy, I focus on what’s within my control and extract lessons from every situation.

When I’m not optimizing development processes or diving into the latest tech, you’ll find me training at my home gym, most recently focusing on spending some time with various kettlebells (including a 64kg one), experimenting with new cocktail recipes (and thoroughly testing them), cooking up something delicious, reading indiscriminately between fiction and non fiction, or writing articles on the latest rabbit hole I’ve fallen into and researched recently.
