At DevriX, we have WordPress running in our veins! Seriously, once our community manager accidentally cut her thumb and open source code started flowing out…
Jokes aside, we are really happy to share what happened on WordCamp Sofia 2024. It was a long-awaited event, and we are still feeling the buzz from the exciting weekend.
WordCamp Sofia 2024: What Happened?
- An Overview of WordCamp

- A Sense of Community
1. An Overview of WordCamp
WordCamp 2024 was an unforgettable event for all WP enthusiasts and professionals. The event itself spanned across the entire weekend (November 23&24), and featured numerous activities.
More than 500 people attended the event. A total of 24 speakers, including two from our team, gave a presentation during WordCamp, sharing tons of insights, experiences, and tips.
2. Contributor Day
The first day of WordCamp was dedicated to contributing to our beloved CMS. During Contributor Day, hundreds of WordPress lovers suggested improvements to the WordPress Core, translated parts of WordPress to Bulgarian, and provided WordPress Support.
Kudos to the DevriX team members who participated, and contributed to making WordPress even better.
Of course, we also had lunch together, laughed and developed strong bonds with members of the WP community.
3. DevriX at WordCamp
20+ members of our team participated in the event, with our CTO Stanko Metodiev, and our QA Team Lead Yovo Kolev being part of the conference speakers.
Stanko shared his insights on the topic of “Mastering the Art of WordPress: 13 Years of Advanced Tips and Tricks”, while Yovo talked about “Effective QA Strategy for WordPress Project”.
Additionally, DevriX was among the sponsors of the event, and we had our own booth. Throughout the day we met a lot of old friends, made some new ones, and had many meaningful conversations.
Powered by lots of coffee and snacks to keep our energy levels high, we enjoyed all aspects of WordCamp – the insights from the lectors, the fun in the breaks, and the networking with interesting people.
4. A Sense of Community
One of the most important things about WordPress is the tremendous and supportive community. At DevriX, we have always appreciated the community and praised it as one of the reasons why WordPress currently powers over 43% of all websites.
During WordCamp it was no different – everyone was so positive and open-minded. We are delighted to be part of such a vibrant community, and would like to thank everyone that participated in WordCamp 2024, and made it such a special occasion.
WordCamp Sofia 2024
DevriX was a proud sponsor of WordCamp, and words can not express how happy we are to be part of WordCamp Sofia 2024, and we truly hope to see you all again very soon.
