DevriX 2023 in Review

2023 has been a blast! It was so full of celebrations, hard work and delightful business occasions that we didn’t realize how fast it flew by.

Now, it’s almost over, and we are ready to present a retrospection of the most important events that occurred throughout the past 12 months.

DevriX 2023 in Review

• We celebrated our 13th birthday this year, and had an awesome party to celebrate this special occasion.

• 7 interviews with members of the team were published in our popular series “A day in the life of…”.
• We supported 12 causes through our Charity initiatives.
• We published over 215 articles on our blog.
• DevriX was ranked high by Clutch in the leading Bulgarian web development companies list in 2023.
• DevriX received recognition from TNC and Clutch for being among the top WordPress development companies, and top PHP developers companies worldwide.
• For another year in a row, we welcomed interns from the Technology School Electronic Systems (TUES).
• Completed 5000+ Asana tasks.

DevriX Events

In the past year, we were actively involved in various conferences, meetings, and gatherings. Here is a summary of the most noteworthy events:

1. Inspirational Talks & Workshops with Mario Peshev. Our CEO, and TUES graduate, Mario Peshev gave an inspirational talk at the DevriX headquarters in front of students from TUES. He discussed the difference between the corporate and agency world, sharing his expertise, and answering questions from students.
2. HackTUES and TUES Fest. We continued our support towards TUES by sponsoring this year’s events, mentoring students, and providing special awards for teams.
3. Summer Internship. We welcomed three students from TUES, who carried out their internship with us. They were thrilled by our office, our team, and the knowledge they received from their mentors.

1. Tuk-Tam Hive. Team DevriX has its own booth at the 2023 Tuk-Tam Hive career and brand awareness event. We met lots of young talents, and had a great time networking with different professionals.
2. Career Show 2023. We took part in one of the biggest events for IT and marketing. We talked to many interesting people, and enjoyed some awesome networking.
3. DevriX 13th Birthday. We celebrated our 13th birthday with a cool rooftop party. We reflected on the amazing milestones, thrilling moments, and priceless memories we’ve made along the way, all the while laying the groundwork for the next 13 years.

WordPress Events

1. WPBGUG Meetups. WPBGUG (WordPress Bulgaria User Group) is a group of Bulgarian WordPress enthusiasts, founded by Stanko Metodiev, CTO of DevriX, and Mario Peshev, CEO of DevriX, more than 10 years ago. This year, we organized and hosted multiple WordPress meetups, discussing various topics like Google’s Core Web Vitals optimization, WordPress for SaaS, How to Be an Effective Developer, and much more.
2. WordPress 20 Birthday. We had a blast celebrating the 20th anniversary of WordPress. We hosted a special WordPress Birthday party, honored by hundreds of people from the Bulgarian WordPress Community.
3. WordCamp Sofia 2023. DevriX sponsored and actively participated in WordCamp Sofia 2023. Our team really enjoyed having the opportunity to network with over 400 amazing WordPress enthusiasts, sharing knowledge, contributing to WordPress and having fun together.
   
4. WordCamp Manila 2023. We were also among the sponsors of another great WordPress event – WordPress Manila 2023. As always, we are happy to be able to actively support and participate in the vast worldwide WordPress community.
5. State of the Word Watch Party. Team DevriX gathered together to watch State of the Word 2023, an annual WordPress keynote where Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of WordPress, reflects upon highlights from the past year and shares the future plans of the open source platform.

As a vivid part of the WordPress community, we continuously contribute to the development of the platform, so we would like to give a shout-out to two DevriXians, who earned Core Contributor badges this year – Neycho and Lacho.

Our Dear Clients

At DevriX we are dedicated to overdelivering, and making our clients happy. In 2023, we published a case study that showcases our working relationship with Senior Executive, and how we helped them grow their business.

On top of that, we dedicated a page towards the process of how we built a lead funnel in 30 days for a solar business.

Last but not least, here are some numbers that exhibit our dedication in the last year:

• Our high-profile WordPress retainer clients list grew with 7 new partners.
• We had over 238 hours of client meetings.
• We currently have 23 active clients.
• We created more than 16000 Asana tasks.
• Our team sent, 860000+ Slack messages.

DevriX 2023 in Summary

It was a great year for DevriX, but are always looking to do more, so, hopefully 2024 will be even better, with more new opportunities, fun activities, and satisfied clients.
